The IB DP Classical Languages course provides students with the opportunity to explore the language, literature and culture of ancient civilisations and to promote an understanding of other cultures and languages through the study of language.

The Classical Languages course is designed for students who possess a degree of knowledge and experience in the target language. Those learning Classical Languages at standard or higher level should be able to follow university courses in other disciplines.
