Travelling to and from school – Forest Coach Lines

Newington charters five private buses from Forest Coach Lines to and from the College each day, covering the following routes:

  • North Shore
  • Cronulla
  • Eastern Suburbs
  • Dee Why/Annandale
  • Lindfield Preparatory (Lindfield to/from Hunters Hill and Lindfield to/from Seaforth)

As the situation around coronavirus evolves, the following proactive and preventative precautions are being taken by Forest Coach Lines to ensure the safety of Newington College students who catch the bus to and from school:

  • Buses are disinfected daily with a hospital grade disinfectant, with extra emphasis placed on all physical touch-points in the vehicles.
  • Drivers are updated daily on new developments and precautions. They have access to means for hand-washing and sanitising, and steps have been taken to increase hygiene awareness, including educational posters explaining best-practice hygiene and how to best protect against the spread of viral infections.
  • An independent health care provider has been engaged to advise and assess, where necessary, drivers for potential symptoms and to provide support if there are any concerns.

Both the College and Forest Coach Lines are monitoring information from the NSW Government and health authorities.
