Biography

Tony Wilson is a non-fiction and children’s fiction writer. He has also worked as a radio and television broadcaster and journalist.

Tony has over twenty titles published to his name. His fiction novels include: The Players, Making News, Stuff Happens: JackThe Saucerer’s Apprentice, and The Selwood Boys series. He has also written a number of picture books: Hickory Dickory DashEmo the Emu : A Gloomy Bird on a Great AdventureThe Emperor’s New Clothes HorseThe Princess and the Packet of Frozen Peas and The Minister for Traffic Lights.

His picture book, The Cow Tripped Over the Moon, was the Children’s Book Council Book of the Year Awards (CBCA) Book of the Year: Early Childhood in 2016. It is also the chosen book for this year’s ALIA National Simultaneous Storytime (24 May 2017).
