Knock Knock

Tuesday 2 April

Knock Knock

Knock Knock is an exhibition presenting the work of Year 11 Higher School Certificate students and their residency with artist Jason Phu.

Jason Phu was the 2015 winner of the prestigious Sir John Sulman Prize, a finalist for the Archibald Prize in 2014 and 2015 and wining recipient of the Freedman Foundation Travelling Art Scholarship. He has had many International and Australian exhibitions, residencies and commissions. Most recently Phu’s exhibition “I wake up from my midday naps with a terrible thirst” was the inaugural show at Chalk Horse gallery in Darlinghurst.

Jason Phu’s comical and laconic style has challenged the boys’ artistic understanding and encouraged them to be honest and self-referential in their nonmimetic painting, drawing and printmaking.

We are so pleased the boys have had this stimulating engagement with Jason Phu and believe the ideas and approaches learnt will equip them with integrity and vision for their future.

Please come and see the hard work and humour of the students and Jason Phu at Concordia Gallery.

Opening Night: Tuesday 2 April 6-8pm
Opening Times: 10am – 2pm daily

The Exhibition will run from Wednesday 3 – Saturday 6 April
