Thursday, 25 October
Concordia Gallery invites you to Lakebed, an exhibition inspired by the ancient landscape of Lake Mungo and the encompassing Willandra Lakes World Heritage Area in far western NSW.
Exhibiting artists thank the communities and Elders of the Three Traditional Tribal groups, the Paakantji, Mutthi Mutthi and Ngyiampaa people who made the artists residency at Lake Mungo possible.
Lakebed is an exhibition about a place that is unique in the world, one that has stories of life through time and monumental shifts in geography imprinted into the layers of its terrain.
Opening Night: Thursday, 25 October 6-8 pm (special performance by Artist Natalie O’Connor at 5pm)
Venue: Concordia Gallery 221-235 Stanmore Road, Stanmore
Opening Times: Friday, 26 October – Saturday, 10 November – Daily from 11am – 3pm (except Sundays)
