Language Selection & House Allocation
Learn more about the two language choices for Year 7 in 2019 and the House Allocation process.

Choosing a language
One of the most important components of the Year 7 program is placing the boys into classes and providing them with the right curriculum framework to ensure a smooth transition. Part of this requirement is for boys to nominate one language as a course of study during Year 7.
House Allocation
A boy remains in the same House for the whole of his secondary schooling. Each boy at Stanmore is placed in one of eight Houses: Fletcher, Johnstone, Kelynack, Le Couteur, Manton, Metcalfe, Moulton, Prescott. These Houses are an important part of school life. Our current Year 8-12 Pastoral Care System operates directly through these Houses.

Is your family affiliated with a House?
Allocation to Houses is on a strictly random basis, except where there is a family connection in which case boys will be placed in that House. We can only allocate accurately if associations are made known to us.
If a closely-related member of your family has been in a particular House, you are asked to complete and submit the form below by a date to be determined.
