World Languages Week 2019

For one week, Languages students will engage in a range of authentic and immersive experiences to enhance their language learning. Many activities will be held during the week, both within language classes and also at other times, enabling the whole Newington community to join in. The whole school experiences include a selfie competition and languages escape room. We will also have a special languages assembly and our annual ‘Poetry Competition and Languages Showcase Evening’.

Our theme for this year’s Languages Week is ‘Experiencing Newington through the languages we learn’. We hope through this to celebrate the languages spoken at Newington College. Afterall, language is a lens through which we see and understand the world around us and through understanding each other’s linguistic backgrounds we can better understand each other and ourselves.
