Welcome to New Review

We are Newington College’s first Making The News (MTN) class of 2017, our aim is to report on the world’s pressing events to the students within Newington College. Our group of fifteen intrepid and fearless journalists aim to ensure that students and teachers are well informed and up to date in the local area as well within Newington College by publishing impactful and informative news to the Newington community through reports, articles, interviews, recounts, videos, and reviews. Join us each fortnight for a New edition of NewReview.

Making the News is an elective course for Year 9 students in 2017.  Over the course of the year, we work with journalists and our teachers to learn journalism skills including writing, interviews, press conferences, social media and ethical decision making.  The work here is written by students and the views represented are their own.
