Business Studies investigates the role, operation and management strategies used by businesses within Australia and in the global economy. There is a focus on the development of independent research skills in addition to the analytical and problemsolving competencies students work towards throughout their studies. 

The Preliminary Course covers the nature of business operations, the issues involved in establishing enterprises and developing a business plan. 

The HSC Course examines the theory and application of the key business functions of management, finance, employment relations, marketing and operating globally. 

A research task will be completed in both Years 11 and 12.
