About the Headmaster

Dr David Mulford is the Headmaster of Newington College, an all-boys K-12 Independent school in Sydney, Australia.

Since joining Newington College in 2008, Dr Mulford is leading the school through one of its most ambitious reform programs, in terms of both organisation and development.

Dr David Mulford is the Headmaster of Newington College, an all-boys K-12 Independent school in Sydney, Australia. He has held the position since his appointment to the College in 2008. Previously, Dr Mulford was the Principal at Blue Mountains Grammar School (1992–2000) and at Radford College (2001–2008).

Dr Mulford’s qualifications include a B. Economics, Graduate Diploma of Education, Masters of Education as well as a Doctorate of Education. He is a Fellow of the Australian College of Education (FACE), as well as an adviser for the Australian Council for Educational Research’s Cooperative Scholarship Testing Program (CSTP)

With the assistance of a dedicated faculty of staff and an engaged student body, he has overseen the development of the new Rae and Pyke buildings and encouraged new technology in classrooms to enhance teaching and learning.
