Biography
Wai Chim is a Chinese-American-Australian children’s and young adult author. Her works include the Chook Chook series, Freedom Swimmer, and Shaozhen: Through My Eyes – Natural Disaster Zones. Her most recent novel, The Surprising Power of a Good Dumpling, was shortlisted in 2020 for the Prime Minister Literary awards and a Finalist for the Kirkus Prize.
She also works for the The Starlight Children’s Foundation as a Business System Analyst.
